The SPSC Seadragons have all the Seadragon power but they're sunk if they don't have all the officials.  We need officials to be certified with the Suburban Swim League so we can even hold a meet. 
I know what you are thinking...."Oh come on Becky, SOMEONE else will do it!"  Nuh-uh!!!  So far we have 3 certified officials....Yeah, they send me a report every day.  Three is not enough..... There was one season where I had the MOST certified officials in the league!  I want to get back to that! 
"But Becky!!!  I don't know how to take a clinic!"  Its easy.....here is the calendar of days SSL Calendar just find a day & class that works for you and sign into the zoom.  Watch the videos, maybe even ask a question!  and BOOM you are certified!
"BUT BECKY!  I don't want to disqualify swimmers!!"  Duh!  No one does!  Take the class!  Hear what the experts have to say.  Maybe even learn how to advocate for your swimmer NOT to be disqualified.  And if you do see something being done wrong, you have to think of it as helping the swim Coach learn what a swimmer needs to work on before they go to Champs.  You are helping them improve! 
"UGH, Becky, these are solid arguments but I still don't want to do it."  Well.....think of it this way, there are 4 jobs for officials at every meet and you need to work 4 full meets this season.....wouldn't it be great if you had one of the best most important jobs?
